Incentives guide
Read the program. Then confirm it with someone who can sign the form.
Rebates, tax credits, and utility incentives can change a solar or storage budget. They also expire, cap out, and depend on equipment lists. This page explains how we handle that. It is not a tax opinion.
What we will gather
- The program name, the agency or utility that runs it, and the page where the current rules are posted.
- Whether the incentive is a credit, a rebate, a performance payment, or something else.
- Equipment or contractor conditions that would make a plan ineligible.
- The date we looked, because yesterday’s percentage is not a promise.
What we will not do
SKYDEV CODE LLC does not file your taxes, does not guarantee that you qualify, and does not tell you to rely on a dollar figure printed on a marketing page. A planning brief can include an incentives note. Final eligibility belongs to a qualified tax professional and to the program administrator.
Rules differ for homes and businesses, and California programs are not the same as programs in other states. If the project is outside Santa Monica, say so when you write. Our office is at 864 PRINCETON ST, SANTA MONICA, CA 90403, and the brief should name the jurisdiction it is using.
Use it with the rest of the plan
An incentive note is an appendix to solar planning or storage research, not a substitute for the system size. Start with the load and the site. Add the incentive after the project is described.
